Cambium Networks Ruggedised Electronic Enclosures
Working with electronic and RF engineers at Cambium Networks we developed a range of new products for the company. I focused on the mechanical design which included the integration of the electronic PCB into a custom designed metal die cast enclosures. There were several things to overcome along the way for example the thermal management played key role in the shape of the custom enclosure. Hand calculations and thermal analysis were used to determine the fin surface and shape required required for the enclosure. The aesthetics design was kept similar through the range of products to give them a professional family feel.
I have also been involved in research work integrated RF antennas to mechanical designs. From this an array of innovative developments came about which resulted in a number of patents being filed.
